I hate this damn cough

It's one of those annoying tickle coughs in the back of my throat. Caused by horrible allergies.

I can't take anything because everything makes me drowsy and I have my kids to take care of. They laugh manically and say they'll be sure and not burn the house down when I lay down to rest.

1. Houston is allergy-central.

I had allergy shots as a teenager, so I don't suffer much. Newcomers take it pretty hard. A recent article described mold allergies--"like a thousand ants marching down your throat."

I've found Sudafed helps; it does not make me sleepy. We have to sign for it in Texas now. But that would only be a problem if I wanted to start a meth lab.
