Dallas Remake: Your casting picks!
On HuffPo this morning there's a :puffpiece: about the new remake of Dallas with possibly John Travolta as JR and Jennifer Lopez as Sue Ellen. :scared:

Here's the post at HuffPo:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2006/03/14/dallas-remake-may-cast-lo_n_17299.html

We can do better with DUers! C'mon, which Lounge Lizard of GD denizen would make the perfect JR? Who would be die and come back to life Bobby? Guzzlin' Sue Ellen?

1. Must they remake it?
:eyes:

When "My Mother the Car" gets remade, then we'll know they are out of options.

OMG, make something new?!

4. Bea Arthur as Miss Ellie.
Or perhaps even Jock Ewing. She has a deep voice - wouldn't be that hard to believe...

:D

15. I could actually see that...
But BB would have to work his way up to handsome. JR is also good-looking and has a certain sex appeal.

12. I live in Dallas, and even I think this is a horrible idea
But if you're going to remake Dallas, I would not cast Travolta as JR. Seriously bad idea.

14. I've seen it but once.
While working on an Israeli kibbutz, a German chica I was sweet with, coerced me. Said it would be educational. So educational, I never watched it again.

Dallas was blamed for tossing a wrench into communal life all over Israel in the early 80's. Folk weren't attending meeting to watch Dallas. So kibbutzim kept shifting meeting schedules around Dallas broadcasts in order to get things done.

16. Are you series?
That's hugh!!!!11!

That's amazing. Although, when I lived in Vienna for a summer in the Mid-80s it was well known about town that if you went out to eat on Wednesday evening, expect not to get waited on with any efficiency. That's the night "Denver Klan" (Dynasty) was on. :eyes:

17. I pick
that they don't make a re-make.

Wasn't the original show on like, at the same time as Dukes of Hazzard or the Incredible Hulk?

(yep, I was eleven or twelve at the time)

:hi:
