Home Improvement Shows
No not the Tim Allen sitcom though I loved that too, but the actual decorating and renovating of home shows?

Any one else a fan? My favorites are on BBC. I love House Invaders and have a crush on Phil Turner. I am less happy about it than I once was though because though I like Gordon on Changing Rooms, he isn't a very good host on House Invaders. I liked it better when it was Linda Barker and Anna Ryder Richardson. Although Anna is still with the show.

I was sorry to hear Changing Rooms has been cancelled in GB but I still love the repeats. Okay I admit I love Lawerence L. Bowen. He looks good in those leather pants.

Also on BBC though not really HI oriented I also love Cash in the Attic with Allistair and Paul. Those two are cuties. Don't like the other hosts or Jaunty though.

On American TV- I like While You Were Out. Andrew, Evan, and Jason are fine eye candy.

I also like Decorating Sense and House Hunters.

The Home Improvement Shows are my calm down medicine when I am upset and don't want to think about weighty world issues. They are just comforting somehow.

1. I prefer "This Old House"
none of the fluff you see in the other shows. They also have "this old house on the road". I always like "New Yankee Workshop" with Norm Abrams. It was incredible the tools that man has!!

4. Ms Divine Design has a column in the paper
that my mom reads just so she can feel a black rage against Ms Divine. (Candace Olson, I think)

My mom hates the woman like she hates Nancy Grace, ya know?

8. I think she's one of the least tacky designers on tv
I would actually choose her designs... some of the other shows produce the most godawful results.

24. Candace and the crew are my favorites. The show is actually
entertaining as well as informative. She really does design beautiful spaces, too.

I like Design on a Dime

I am not too fond of Nancy Travis in all her incarnations. She DOES irritate me.

9. I like Flip This House on A&E
Not to be confused with Flip THAT House on another channel.

It seems everything that CAN go wrong DOES go wrong. Usually, it is termites...and things go awry.

Ah, life in the south!

13. ReDesign is good also
I think he's very practical. And I like how he involved the clients in making their own artwork to fit the space.

I meant Decorating Cents not Decorating Sense like I had in my initial post. It's on HGTV and the host is I think Joan Steffan. They show you how to design on a limited budget. I love the trash to treasure segement.

22. Have you ever notice how Suzanne Whang
always wiggles when she talks? She never stands still?

Also count how many times the home buyers use the word "cute". It'd make a great drinking game.

Also how many of the men looking for a home have a "home recording studio" they need to accommodate. Tons.
