11. three of them.
1. "Sneezer," Male Corgi/Border mix: 11 years old. Why "Sneezer?" When he gets excited, he sneezes. He sneezed like crazy at the pound as a puppy, but they assured us that he wasn't sick, just excited.

2. "Brigette," Female Pembroke Corgi, Red and White: 2 years old. INSANE. Kennel name "Red Alert Brigette" for a damned good reason.

3. "Charlie," Male Pembroke Corgi, Red and White: 2 years old. He's Brigette's brother. Kennel name "Rhapsody in Red Charlie." He sings.

12. I have a Rottweiler - age 6. Her name is Legend.
Her AKC name is Ledgend Von Rodken. I didn't buy her as a puppy, but adopted her from a friend who bought her for breeding and then changed her mind. And my last Rottie had just died at the age of 12, so I ended up with Legend. She is a spoiled rotten Rottie.

18. George 2 yr old Lab/Springer Mix
We got him from rescue last early December as an Xmas present for the kids.

A great dog, but very defensive at the door, and so he scares people a bit. I found a static shock collar on sale, but I don't want to create a mean dog. I just want him to stop barking so violently at the door (when he is other just an energetic, good natured dog, who really only wants to lick visitor's hands until told to cut it out.).

21. Standard Poodles Rule
Not to be confused with your aunt's "Lil Freedom Poodle". The German Pudle is actually a hunting breed: water retiever. My current side kick is Benjamin Dover IV (Ben Dover). He is my 4th standard. Smart as a whip, playfull and very athletic, standards weigh in at about 60 lbs, do not shed and can be trained to do most anything!

22. Two
Kiera - Border collie/terrier mix, 2 yrs old. She is the smartest dog we have ever had, which is good because she isn't very pretty. I picked her out of a shopping cart full of free puppies because I felt sorry for her as her siblings were cute and she wasn't.

Morgan - Sheltie. (Came with sig. other) Beautiful loving dog. Unfortunately, she thinks the house is a place to "do her business", and thus has to be constantly watched. She is very affectionate though, and Kiera's "best friend."

24. I have a dog, in addition to the psycho-kitty
Katie is a 5 year old dog from the MHS shelter in Detroit. I adopted her as a puppy. They told me she was German Shepard/Chow mix, but she looks like neither of those breeds. Her vet thinks she is a norewegian elkhound, but she has markings of brown, black and white, like a shepard. She's too small (40 lbs) and her face is not a shepard's face. She's a very cute and friendly dog, who lets kids and psycho-kitties climb all over her. Over thanksgiving, she let my 3 and 1 year old nieces pull her hair, climb on her, bury their faces in her fur, stroke her tail so they can watch it curl back up, stick their fingers in her mouth and not one growl, bark or bite at any of them. Just tail-wagging and constant following of the rug rats. She doesn't like my mom's yorkie all that much, however.

25. Here goes
Mister Tuktoyaktuk - Siberian
Tatiana - Siberian (actually our first siberian, but Tuk's the boss)
Saffron - Siberian
Redford - Siberian
Sadie - Siberian
Ida - Alaskan Husky

for simplicity's sake we say we have six Siberians

The first four are starting to get old (>8 years old), Sadie is 5 and finally starting to calm down, she's the wild child. They are all rescued dogs, so we only know bits and pieces of their backgrounds. Ida we got when she was 13 weeks, so shes our baby. She's 3 now.

26. Beautiful German Shepherd
13 years old now.
Very smart, very sweet.
She's never bitten, barked, nor had an aggressive tendency in her life.

Still thinks she's a puppy.

Rescued her from a bad situation (as a failed guard dog) when she was 6 months old.

Oh, two dogs? Whoa! Hmmm, I'm laughing! Good for you.

Boris is on the right.

Yeah, I know BC's have a rep for being full of energy and hard to handle but these two have been a dream so far! They keep amazing me with how well behaved they are. Trick is to tire them out. I keep waiting for the behavior problems but nothing so far. Tasha is a little high strung but Boris, well, I call him Boring Boris as he's just so quiet. You barely know he's there except I have to keep his sis from picking on him. She's a brute sometimes but I love her to death - both of them!

42. Really? I thought AKC changed name of breed
In honor Parson Russel, I assumed. Maybe Parsons are longer legged than Jack Russels? Interesting.

Any any case, my Terrier is a spitfire. I think she's a rough or corse coat type. I am a little worried since she snapped at me once when I tried to get her off the couch. I read that this behaviour is not a good sign. However, it's only happened once and otherwise she's lovey.

36. Oops, wrong thread?
OK, i mostly do cats, & i'm in the cat thread, but i have four abuse-rescued doggies: all mixt breeds, all ridiculous. And all sweeties.

1 of the rescues involved shots-fired into my yard, after the court battle was over & i retained custody.

Had 5, but Sammy was crazy from his early life circumstances, i rescued him after he ingested his own tail. had it docked, had him fixed, and started him on a regimen of tranquilizers, but after healing, he re-attacked the stub & it became clear he was too unhappy to continue. I made the tough call and helped my vet do the duty.

He was not combative, loved his brother dogs, & clearly loved me; but couldn't live w/himself.

Casey, Ricky, and Vinny & Jules are all fine and getting fat.
