As I sit here reading, listening to the owl outside the window
I wonder what the wise old owl is trying to tell me, kinda makes my skin crawl though. No wonder some of my Indian friends will shoot them on sight. ooooooow

4. I've seen it a few times during the day and it is about 2 feet tall
I wasn't advocating shooting it just pointing out what some of my friend say or do. I like the sound of the owl as I do all creatures.

2. The owls are not what they seem
(according to Twin Peaks)

Shooting them would be unnecessary cruelty. They are harmless unless you are a small rodent or other tasty tidbit they want for dinner.

10. Their sound can be haunting at times
but I still miss our owls. We had a family of owls that stayed in the fence row of the neighbor's trees. The new neighbor cut down the trees and now no more owls. :(

Enjoy him/her madokie..you don't know what you've got til it's gone.

11. I love the sound
of the owl outside my bedroom window occasionally. Since we are in Indian territory I thought this would be informative to you. http://www.owlpages.com/articles.php?section=Owl+Mythology&title=Myth+and+Culture&page=2
