I love Olympic curling!

Great sport. We've been enjoying it every morning and then in the evening if it is replayed.

Oh yeah. We are in south Texas, so it's a big deal to us. We had to learn a little about the rules, scoring, etc.

I'm loving it too! Everyone keeps comparing it to watching paint dry, but damn, I'm having fun watching it. And I really don't understand it all.

2. It is so cool! Careful strategy and placement,

how fast, direction, like pool only the opposing team can sweep to make your rocks go faster in target area. (I guess there is a name for that somewhere.) Quirky scoring. No one is hiding their conversations. And have you seen them bring out the measuring device? Perfectly scientific. No room for error.

3. And they're so polite and friendly.

I love that! They are great sportsmen. Although one of the chicks from Switzerland (The one who looks like Velma from the Scooby Doo movies) was getting on my nerves the way she was standing over Cassie from the US Women's team while they were setting up a shot. I wanted to call her names and tell her to back off. She's a little moody.

I guess we're in the same boat. My hubby and I, being from Georgia where ice is something you put in tea, are thoroughly enjoying the curling. We think we've got the basics figured out now. US Men in competition tomorrow night in primetime! Sweet............
