2. I got some GREAT news about an employment opp.
that I may post later.

Should I post my good news, knowing that some will be happy for me, but also knowing that a good number of my fellow beloved DUers are either un- or under- employed? I don't want to rub any salt in any wounds, which is why I haven't said anything about it yet.

3. You have a reason to be happy...
it's like a man bragging about being married, and another talking about being divorced. Know what I mean.

Be happy, and let's hope everyone who doesn't have a job gets one...

Sounds like you had a good day!

5. Ok

I slept in an hour, because I had the day off from work. Then I went to the next town over and paid my speeding ticket($125.00 )

I went to the doctor, he told me to quit smoking and lose 30 pounds.

After that I went to a store, they were having a clearance on Fiesta ware. Bought four coffee mugs, a little creamer pouring thingy and a butter dish.

I had soup and an egg roll for dinner.

Then I came home and opened my mail. Finally got my W-2 so I can do my taxes.

Now,I surfing online and will watch a DVD with Beware the Beast Man later.

So?

8. Sure, but I don't need any advice.
I got up early, started the coffee, set out breakfast for the kids, then worked out for a little over an hour. After my workout, I showered and dressed, got the kids dressed, had some breakfast and coffee, and goofed off on DU for a little bit. After that I finished folding and putting away the laundry, made the kids' beds, cleaned the catbox, and ran the vacuum. At 11:15, I drove my oldest daughter to work. I stopped at Starbucks and got myself a coffee, then took the little kids out for lunch. Later we went visiting and spent the afternoon at a friend's house. My husband called at 4:00, while I was still at my friend's house, to say he was on his way home, and did I want him to pick up some Chinese takeout? I said sure. I packed up the kids and we headed home, then we ate supper. I am now goofing around again.

9. Baby has croup and ear infections
She started throwing up last night, and continued this morning. I had to take the day off from work. Started by puking in the crib, then in the high chair, so there was no place to put her so I had to carry her around. Started another load of laundry. Then we went to the doctor, and she got a shot for the croup that she didn't like at all. Then we went to the drug store for the prescription for the ear infections and finally back home, where she wouldn't let herself be put down because she was so uncomfortable. But since when she cries too hard she pukes, the challenge all day was to try to get her to eat a little, but not too much, and then carry her while she whined, hoping she wouldn't launch into a full cry, since that would project her stomach contents out again. Finally she took a nap. Then we tried a little more food, and then she got very upset. We walked and walked and walked around in circles until she was sleepy again, and then she took another nap. I don't know when she'll wake up again so I'd better go.

16. I spend the day at the hospital..
... with my wife.

She is trying to get on the kidney/pancreas transplant list. She's had diabetes since age 7 and it's taken its toll on her body.

The last qualifying test in a series of tests was done today, an angiogram. Based on other heart tests she just took, everything was supposed to be good but they found two arteries that were 80% blocked. They put a stent in one of them, and the other will be done in a few weeks.

She has to spend the night in the hospital and I miss her. She will have to go back in 3 weeks and get a stent put in the other artery. Meanwhile, this will delay her being added to the list by several months. It sucks to say the least.

So yes, my day sucked, but it really sucked for my wonderful soul mate wife :(

17. Don't really need any advice, either

I did some writing for my blog. Watched Young And The Restless. And as usual listened to music.

Heard one album:

Plumb - Beautiful Lumps Of Coal (love it, and am anxiously awaiting her upcoming album)

Heard these songs/samples:

Skye Sweetnam - "Superstar" (Terrible. Hope she doesn't ruin the promise she showed on Noise From The Basement, which I give a B.)

Pink - "Stupid Girl" (People who like hip-hop flavored pop might like it, but I wasn't crazy about this song. Hope her album also isn't a disappointment.)

Sarah Harmer - samples from CD I'm A Mountain (doesn't sound like a good fit for her at all. Not buying this one.)

But I love what I heard from the new Belle And Sebastian CD, and bought it.

'alexander's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day'

it was freaking freeze-your-nose-hairs-cold when i left the house

i get to work and go to grab the lunch i left in the fridge yesterday only to find someone had eaten it

then the soda machine ate my dollar

then i couldn't get anyone to call me back

my car stalled a few times driving home (stoopid idle issues)

but at least i got off work early-ish

19. I woke up around 6am.
Drank a few beers and went back to sleep around 8am.. I know, I was being bad. Woke up again around noon. Went to fix my friends computer. She took me out for drinks and dinner around 5pm. Got home around 7pm and took a shower, shave, and clean clothes. I'm currently deciding if I want to go out tonight. I know of a few parties downtown but it is so cold and about ten miles on my bike each way.

I'm leaning toward staying home.
