Nevermind - EBAY problem has been solved thanks for the help!
Edited on Thu Jan-26-06 03:39 PM by LynneSin
I bought this item back about 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to get worried that I may never be seeing it. Mind you, the item was from someone over in Wales so I do realize that it'll take longer than normal for the item to be shipped.

But when I had a question about the item before I purchased I heard back right away. I also received an email (at my work address) about 3 hours after purchase that was someone snippy wondering if he would get paid (I can't get personal email at work and work email at home. Plus I needed to update my pay-pal account with a new credit card which I did as soon as I got home from work so the guy was paid FIVE hours after the bidding was completed).

Finally, when I made payment I had requested to email the shipping method of the item and any tracking number - nothing. When I replied back about payment asking if he received it - nothing.

I feel like two weeks later this guy, who was so damn anxious to get my money, can't take 2 minutes to reply back to an email with information requested. And I'm starting to think I could be out $60 because I have no idea how this item is being shipped or if it is being shipped with signature required like I requested.

So my question is this. FIrst, how much longer should I wait for the item knowing that it's being shipped from Great Britian to Delaware. Second, although I might not get my money back what recourse do I have? This guy is doing business (His rating was good, only 1 negative review out of 500) but he's not even replying to a fricking email.

Please advise. I really don't buy alot on Ebay so this is all new territory to me!

1. Roll back to the "I needed to update my credit card " part. Elaborate.

That sounds a bit fishy but maybe nothing. I also think that your paypal is guaranteed, isn't it?

Confused.... there should be no mystery regarding shipping ... it should be laid out plain as day on th item page. Did he acknowledge (on the item page) that $$ was received.

Sounds to me like he is just a slow jerk... and will probably blame slowness on a computer problem or homeland security. 500 sales w/ pos. feedback is legit. I think it will come. I'm waiting for something too from ebay. Hard to have patience.

3. With that strong a rating, he's probably just slow
I'd fire off another email (you are sending it through the Ebay system, not just directly to his mailbox, I hope) asking him to please verify shipment.

Also, with Paypal you can tell if he's accepted the funds. Make sure he has, or maybe he's cursing you at the other end.

Other than that, I wouldn't worry too much, based on his rating. Was the other negative mark because of poor shipping? It may take him a bit to ship it, it will take a while to get here. Don't worry much. It's odd that he hasn't responded, but that happens sometimes. People even go on vacation or get sick and don't check their boxes.

If he hasn't responded in another week, and you don't have the package, let him know you'll contact Ebay if he doesn't respond, and then follow up with them.

4. That could be it - I just got a response
I was sending directly but I had just sent one through the ebay link on the item I bid and I received a reply back

He's sending it Postal Service which is the best for me because if it doesn't fit in my mailbox they will hold it til I come pick it up!
