4. Oh, I don't know about that...
If I was going to point someone to one band that best represented the 1980s hair band aesthetic, I'd point them to Motley Crue. Doesn't mean the bad was necessarily good, mind you, but they were the defining band of the genre, IMHO.

5. $100 or $150 K
It think that was the figure that came out when Seacrest got his star. You apparently have to pass a really low threshold in fame or some form there of.

11. $150K and the city council must approve it
apparantly there are hundreds of 'celebrities' whose fans have raised the money, but are still waiting for the city council approval. NPR had a story about it this week.

9. Ryan Seacrest got a Star??? On the Walk of Fame????
There should be guidelines in place, it shouldn't just be if someone nominates you and you have the cash...:grr: Ryan Seacrest is about as well known as I am. So, could somebody do a write in nomination, and I'll try and scrape the cash together? I'm series. We should do this. Maybe Get Oscar his own star...if he'd come out of hiding for it.

16. That's the case with a lot of the people on the Walk of Fame
You can see all the stars as you walk down Hollywood Boulevard
Some that you recognize, some that you've hardly ever heard of
People who worked and suffered and struggled for fame
Some who succeeded and some who suffered in vain.
