CG and I have a friendship based on mutual animosity. One of the things I love about him.

We can fight, insult each other, and still end up smiling.

But some people can be more forceful and show their alpha side and be looked on favorably. While others would be ridiculed and looked on as being an ass. ie: Two men get angry about some issue. One is looked on as being unstable emotionally while the other is seen as showing signs of great leadership.

Anyone who asks that Q isn't. You may be (as anyone) offensive @times but a truly offensive person does not care what others think. You do. I beleive a REAL offensive person is one who by ignorance or hatred sets out to gratify only himself.

I got a couple emails from people saying that I was one of the most hateful, annoying, and offensive people they had ever met.

I just wanted a consensus.

I try to be a decent man. To care when other people are hurting, to give the best advice I can, to try to love other people. It really doesn't cost much.

But sometimes I lose my temper. Sometimes my jokes aren't funny but hurtful.

Those emails just made me wonder........ I think I'm a nice guy, but am I really? I know this was a stupid question and I phrased it stupidly. But I really wanted an answer. Those emails HURT.

There are all kinds of people in this world - and some of the lowest, IMO, are those who intentionally hurt other people.

I have not seen any evidence of you behaving the way those people describe... and I'm a pretty good judge of character. Consider how many people here, in the Lounge, love you for who you are.... then BELIEVE IT TO BE TRUE, BECAUSE IT IS!!

I was also compared to you - as a kind and compassionate person.

Someone said that you and me were similar souls - always there when someone needed help. Always able to reach people in crisis. Always open hearted.

I don't know if it's true about me, but it's a comparison to treasure. Being compared to the Rev? That's something to be proud of.

I remember when my girl elshiva was having a horrible night. I'll never forget it. You stayed with her, and you showed her patience and tenderness. You talked with her, and it was like you were holding her hand or something. I haven't seen much like that, and it blew my mind.
