I never went to a prom, :cry: except in my senior year the band gave a concert before that which I went to and watched all the couples be introduced. My sister's (they were both sophomores in my senior year)future college room-mate was gonna ask me to take her 'as a friend' (how lame is that? :eyes:) but some other guy asked her. Another girl from church was fighting with her boyfriend, who she later married, and went with some other guy. The scuttlebutt was that this other guy would 'just get drunk and go for it' which proved to be all too accurate as she ended up feigning sleep to keep him away.

71. Nah, I went to junior prom

with four or five of my best male friends, and to senior prom with a guy from another town. Of the two, the date with my guy friends was _far_ more fun than the "real" prom date the next year.

Proms suck, in my opinion, for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is how they create "insiders" and "outsiders" and "haves" and "have nots." :hi:

a sound guy who also took pictures for a dive club a band I was in at the time took a picture of me at a gig there playing guitar and kind of half-snarling/half-smirking into the microphone; He gave it to me casually a few weeks later along w/ all the other band pics he took, and I thought it was the best "rock star" like I ever looked on film.

I took it out again a few years later to show my ex the picture and she loved it, but I took a good look at it this time; I looked like I was one depressed, fucked-up guy who was barely hanging on. And of course, at that time the picture was taken (late 80's), I was all those things and more.

I couldn't stop looking at it after she gave it back; it was like the photo/sound guy had taken a snapshot of my soul. I guess he did.

I wish I still had that pic; I lost it on the move after we broke up...

dentist is happy with the progress of the healing. He was kinda amazed I don't need any painkillers anymore already.
He finally got the x-ray that were taken in Berlin at Christmas, checked them with the x-ray he did some years ago. Everything looks like it is supposed to look.
Next check-up app in 10 days.

I am sure he is a naughty sweety, otherwise you wouldn't love him that much that you let him post pics of you like that :evilgrin:
