"Snakes on a Plane"
A new movie starring Samuel L. Jackson. New Line isn't releasing the movie until August, but it's already a hit because the title is so stupid it's priceless. The studio wanted to change the title to "Pacific Air Flight 121," but Samuel L. Jackson threatened to walk unless they stuck with "Snakes on a Plane."

The title already results in 100,000 google hits. The blogosphere has gone nuts, because it sounds like a joke--but it's true!

I can't wait to see it. Because there's snakes... on a plane!

2. Yes, it's TRUE!
I can just picture a meeting where someone pitches the idea to studio executives ("It's about snakes on a plane!") And then the call it Snakes on a Plane.

4. Same here
I'm thinking a few cocktails followed by this movie could be the most fun of 2006.

7. You got this from Wired, didn't you?
:)

This movie is going to be bad in a way that makes Showgirls look like a classic by comparison.

I've just started reading Wired not too long ago, and I've become hooked.

14. I've already obtained my Free Range Bacon...
It's a tradition of mine to eat bacon on New Years Day...

Sadly, it's the only day I get to eat the real thing. *sigh*

(Oh, yeah... "Snakes on a Plane"... Sounds like a *yawn* *cough* Blockbuster. ;) )

16. True confession time.....
When a teenager in the early 70's I shipped some snakes and other reptiles to a dealer in San Francisco. It was my 1st time shipping air freight and I botched it. At some ungodly hour I got a call from the carrier asking if I had a cobra in the shipment. Apparently the black rat snake put on quite a show. Last I heard of that shipment.

Two weeks before 9/11 I boarded a plane with a harmless 30" long snake in my pocket, bagged. No problemo. I sure as hell wouldn't try that again, under present circumstances!

Air freight is the ONLY way to ship venomous reptiles. Most all goes Delta Dash.
