Sushi.. I'm addicted.

My neighbor has been making sushi the past month and damn him, I'm now addicted to the stuff. It is SOOOOOOO good. I cant believe how good raw fish could be.

Had some last night and I'm craving it this am again. mm.. sushi..

3. I love sushi. Whats really bad is when you are walking through

the grocery store, and when you pass the raw salmon you start to drool...

4. Ive been eating the tuna. I tried the salmon last night and it was waaay

strong for my tastes. Before sushi I really didnt like fish, so I'm slowly making my way up the fish line :)

5. I have some trouble with tuna. Its a bit fatty, hard for me to chew

Especially the wasabi. MAN does that burn my nose!!

7. Just about anything, really. What kind of sushi have you had?

Sashimi, which is just the fish

Nigiri, which is one or two pieces, sitting on rice, with a rap of seaweed holding it together

or

Maki, which is the roll.


I've had all three, I like Sashimi or Nigiri as a appetizer and then MAki as my meal.

The reason I asked, though, is that at many places if you order Sashimi you can get something like a sampler, where they will select for you 10 or 15 or however many pieces of the freshest sushi, and you can try each type of fish. Also, since there is no rice, you can really taste the actual meat by iteslf.

My favorite fish for sushi is still Salmon, but I also like crap, shirmp, Halibut, Tuna, White tail, and Yellow Tail.

Yellow tail is especially good.

My favorite roll is something that the place here in town calls a Philadelphia roll, which is a rice/seaweed roll made with smoked Salmon, Avacado, and cream cheese...

9. I attended a Japanese Presbyterian church for a year and a half

so I could more futomaki during fellowship hour.
