My boyfriend is sleeping on the couch and I hate that!
I know he's really tired but GO TO BED ALREADY!! I'm not sleepy yet and I want to sit on the couch and watch TV. He's got 3 minutes before I kick him to the bedroom.... It's a silly pet peeve of mine, I know. But I can't stand people falling asleep on the couch. The bedroom is only a few feet away! :grr:

1. Well, if you don't like it, let him know.
Sometimes it's a nice treat to take a snooze on the couch, though.

3. Easier said than done
He doesn't want to go to bed too early so he's trying to stay awake. But he keeps nodding off and he's taking up the whole couch! I'm not opposed to an occasional snooze on the couch myself but I hate when people just rack out on it when they should have gone to bed. I used to have a roommate who did that. I work nights and I'd come home many mornings to find her crashed out, drooling, with the TV blaring. Drove me nuts. I told her about it repeatedly and she'd keep doing it. Aaargh!! :banghead:

It's just a weird peccadillo of mine so I'm concerned I might be making too big a deal of it.

He looked so precious curled up in bed--I put a stuffed animal in his arms and snapped it.

He's going to get me when he see's it!;)

When we were engaged, I scared him to death by greeting him as he was coming out of the shower with a flash from my camera! The look on his face...omg. Priceless! I LOVE that picture SO MUCH!

12. I promise you, it's a guy thing.
They are just wired to fall asleep on the couch. Don't know why, they just are and all across the nation, women get pissed off about it. Jay Mohr put it in his comedy act (I think it was him).

17. I think you're right about that
That and hogging the remote. I swear that one must be seared into their DNA!
And he can be sound asleep but he'll perk up as soon as I change a channel. "Huh...Wha? How did I let YOU get a hold of that!"

18. I do it to..
I imagine I would get the same amount of shit if I went straight to bed. Actually, I doubt I would (I would get more). When I pass out on the couch I am trying to be near my girlfriend. I want to remain visible.

Sending out vibes -- Long day at work, please cuddle --

And I know the ladies work too..

21. See--it is wiring.
My husband says something like that, too. He wants to be near me--he's comfortable and get's relaxed with me near him. I try not to read into it that I'm boring.

:boring:

But the dogs are already on the other end. It'd be easier to get my 220lb boyfriend off than them.

16. It's too hairy where they sleep
'Course, that's to be expected since they sleep there about 12 hours a day!

But I love my little family so I guess I just have to put up with the occasional annoyance

15. My husband does it every evening.
It only bugs me when he starts snoring so loudly that I can't hear the t.v.
Otherwise, it doesn't bother me.

19. Good for you!
That it doesn't bug you. I've got to get mellower about that, seriously. But it's usually when we just started watching a rental, that it bothers me. Suddenly I turn to him to comment on something on screen and he's ...zzzzzzzz. LOL!

Still, everyone gets tired, I've got to mellow out about it. :hi:

20. TV in the bedroom, that's what I always say.
Of course, I only have one television..... but if there was another adult, I think we'd seriously rethink that.

27. We HAVE a TV in the bedroom!
He can watch it and fall asleep to his heart's content! I wanted to watch the one down here because it's got HBO and that one doesn't. Terms of Endearment is on right now and it's a long-standing tradition of mine to watch it around the holidays. He finally did go upstairs so I've settled in for 2 blissful hours of MacClaine and Winger angst....Aaaah...:)

Our room is a TV free zone, and neither of us miss it.
