Can a woman be a CURMUDGEON?
Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 09:32 PM by yvr girl
I think I may have become one. I just put the towing company on my speed dial. I'm sick of people parking in my spot - THAT I PAY FOR!

I also considered letting the air out of their tires.

1. Hey, you take the chance of parking in someone's spot,
you take the chance of getting towed. People who follow rules seldom get towed.

2. Sure. That's not a gender related attitude.
Anyone can build a resentment if they're being taken advantage of.

3. Certainly
And if that's the worst thing somebody calls you, be pleasantly surprised.

4. I think the term is curmudgeoness for a woman.
:P I don't blame you for being angry about people parking in your spot. Even worse is when someone parks behind you and blocks your car. That happened to me when I had an apartment near a Big Ten football stadium. Some of those football fans are a law unto themselves.

6. Women are the best curmudgeons.
No supressed male obsequiousness yearning to breathe free and break the curmudgeonly demeanor at the critical moment. Gore Vidal never caves, but other male curmudgeons prove their curmudgeonly ersatzness in moments of gratitude toward flattering fools.

Great curmudgeon: Patricia Highsmith, for just one. A favorite curmudgeon, one of the greatest ill-tempered cranks in 20th century literature.

8. Can we see some of your supressed male obsequiousness?

9. I'm sure you can.
Unless of course you find it too obvious, too unsupressed, in which case you just see it. And in that case I hope it is not too loathsome for your refined sensibilities.

But if it is so repulsive, may I offer you a complimentary cellophane-wrapped pine-scented air freshener for your rearview mirror to aid in masking the stench of so much festering milky obsequiousness?

11. Thanks! I'll treasure it always!
(Oh shit. Did that sound too obsequious? I've got to work on my curmudgeoness skills.)

10. An ice pick is perfect for flattening tires.
Quick and clean; nobody will ever notice you using it.
