Pack Your Shit & Get Ready = Mass Evictions From Limbo...
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/12/13/opinion/main1123162.shtml
"After 700 years of occupancy, a landlord is entitled to ask the tenants to move. Apparently something like that is happening at the Vatican, where, the Guardian reports, the decision has been made to evict the occupants and close limbo."

can they do that  is that a thing that can be done   and o'reilly says the "secularists losing the debate", what a joke, western 'religion' is frittering the debate away

1. I know..
I mean; this is so blatantly obvious to prove that the religion is man-made in its entirety that it boggles the mind.
Sorry; that sentence is a bit run on. You know what I mean.

I think people are just becoming more secular and the church is fighting a battle to keep the parishioners they have.

12. no...i wasn't joking...
the horizon is broad containing many people, not just christians, too many already use jesus juice & evangelical fundamentalism as a means to perpetrate upon the commercial resources of other people yet again; a consistent theological base may be seen by many others yet again as a commodity in and of itself

3. Limbo? Pergatory for babies???
Is this the most ridiculous shit you've ever heard?

Absolutely proves religion was thought up by some very bored people who wanted power over others.

10. OMG...I just had a flash-back...
about venial and mortal(sp) sins....boy, that stuff is buried deep...but I think pergatory is for sinners-lite, where hell is for the real deal. St. Peter is limiting his options it appears...

6. LOVE this paragraph!
"All of a sudden the firmament is to be inundated by millions — nay, perhaps billions — of unbaptized babies bumping into angels, clogging up celestial trumpets and interfering with the plucking of harps. The music of the spheres is about to take an awesome drop in quality."

8. Just for the sake of argument, let's say those afterlife places
really exist, you know Heaven, Limbo, Purgatory and Hell, why does the Vatican think they have any say in how they are run? I mean will God, the Devil, the choirs of Angels and any other entities that might have a vested interest, really allow a bunch of educated primates dictate how their realms will be run?

9. Too funny, what do we do with the babbies?
What can I say? What happens to all the little babies?

As if anything different occurs because of their ridiculous...ummm... dogmatic pronouncements.

Well, as we know, the Celts rule. Christian dogma is so quite conflicted.

What else could I possibly say?

22. Got it. Mormons proxy baptize Catholic babbies? Ohh.....dear.
"This is where the Mormons come in and save the Pope's bacon. Mormons can baptize dead people. They do it all the time. They have vast databases groaning with the names of the departed, whom the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints usher out of limbo and into heaven by what is called "proxy baptism." Some Jews have objected to having the Mormons pull sneak baptisms on their ancestors, and the Mormons, displaying a sensitivity they are not known for, have said they won't do it any more.

So, the only remaining question is, are there enough Mormons ready, willing and able to proxy-baptize all those millions of Roman Catholic babies? As for Plato, he is smart enough to take care of himself.".....

This is so hilarious....for the non dogmatic. ;)

I'd warn them about the Celts though. Some of them are umm...witches. Well, every ethnic group has witches... The fundys should watch what they do. As if it would make a difference. They seem to make their own trouble.

17. This is just an opening shot.
Probably too many parishioners wanted to know why aborted fetuses went to limbo, instead of being nominated for sainthood(killed in the cause).
