3. He had to cancel his dates every Friday!
Quincy came out at the right age... I was too young to work or be out driving around, but old enough to stay up later! :D

11. Here's a link to a fun article from the Catalog of Cool
TV Meets the Beats, Punks & Hippies

Find the hard copy, if you can!

16. I knew someone else on DU did.
Just couldn't recall whether it was you.

That and the second volume steered me toward a lot of great stuff, especially music.

I was young when I first picked up that book. It really influenced my tastes too.

Thanks for both of those links - bookmarked. :D

...it was one of my favorite shows. I always thought it was for older people. I haven't seen it in ages. I wonder what it's like.

18. I cannot think of a signature line from the show
but someone once pointed out that Quincy was a master of histrionics.

21. "Carl Phillip Hopwood was a Goood, Decent MAN!"
Ok, so not exactly a catch phrase, but my brother and I used to watch Quincy every day when it was on A&E. That's the line we got the biggest kick out of and still quote to each other at random times.

Also, Quincy was real big on hematomas (sp?) as clues.

19. Jack Klugman was on Conan last week
He was promoting his book about his friendship with Tony Randall. It was kind of sweet, but it seemed eerily similar to Jerry Lewis' book about Dean Martin.
