The melody is horrid.

And mainly, this is Paul friggin' McCartney, one half of what's often touted as the greatest songwriting duo of ALL TIME.

I mean, really. If some one-hit wonder were responsible for this annual musical atrocity, we'd be hearing it as much as Shakin' Steven's awful "Merry Christmas Everyone".
