Need *actual* advice /consent on COUNTER TOP MIXER
I am looking for a good model for my wife. I googled Countertop mixer and this came up. It looks like what I was looking for. I could possibly pay about twice this much.

Does this look like a good one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry it won't post as a pic

2. Kitchenaid is the way to go
hands down. All metal, all thoroughly tested. All basic technology so many fewer possible places where the thing could break.

Go Kitchenaid. You won't regret it.

5. I think the main selling point to consider
is the weight of the thing. It won't fling itself off the counter at high speed like cheap plastic mixers. Kitchenaid will last your decades even with heavy use.

I got it from the KitchenAid site. It was refurbished, but it is in perfect condition and works beautifully.

10. THE mixer to own
especially for cookie baking. It will never burn out. Before I received mine, my mixers would smoke and die every December.

13. Yes, you want the KitchenAid.
It's the home version of a restaurant industry standard called the Hobart. In fact, it's made by the same company.

Not only will it perform the tasks you want, but upgrade parts are easily obtainable. (Frex, you can get the pasta machine attachment, or the sausage grinder attachment, etc...). The KitchenAid is durable and will take years of normal use without a wimper. Any damage or repairs is usually easily accomplished and parts are easy to find.

14. Amazon has some good prices on the Kitchenaid mixers....
Some swear by the Accolade--stronger than the Artisan?
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007DA8TI/ref=noref/104-8003467-1033556?%5Fencoding=UTF8&n=14273411&s=kitchen&v=glance

Here's the Artisan in Pink:

I do NOT bake enough to warrant buying one of these. But all those colors are really seductive...

17. Red, old school Ice, or White
the kitchen is white but the Ice looks like mixers from old cook books.

Wow thanks for the link

15. Buy it!
If you're looking for a bit more power, there are more expensive models, but this one should work just fine. (I wanted the pink one!) We have the Professional Series mixer in white. It gets a workout year-round; we've never had any problems with it.

She'll love it!

18. If you can, pay extra and get the largest model they make, I believe it's
a 500+ watt model. Worth every single penny.

I call mine the Whomper. I love it.
