5. Here's the first question:
If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.

It's a false choice - an "either or" that isn't really either/or. So, I would agree, it's not the fairest of questions.

32. Lots of false questions on that site
On that same first page there is a question about the superiority of certain races. Racism is not a right/left issue or an authoritarian/libertarian issue. It's a question about pseudoscience. They might as well ask a question like "The alignment of the planets affects the lives of people on Earth" to determine how similar your political views are to Gandhi or Stalin.

18. Whew! at least one comrade in arms!
Economic Left/Right: -2.12 (same as you)
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.28

Some of the questions I don't like - I answer "strongly agree" to the question "The benefit of a one party system is that it progresses faster because of lack of argument", which is, I'd say, 100% correct, but on the other hand, it's a stupid question befuase it doesn't ask "do you agree with this?"

Some of the questions, like the aforementioned, aren't asking ideology at all, just logic. If a statement is true, it's just true. There's no left/right involved in it.

hate questionnairres and surveys that ask loaded questions, or questions that aren't questions at all.

21. I did'nt like the some of the questions either
And I really have a problem with corporate America right now. I feel that they have been the real terrorists in this country expecially the last couple of years. Layoffs, Offshoring jobs (especially in IT), swindling workers out of their pensions and 401k's.

I'd love to see some of the Ken Lays, Dick Browns, Chenys' and associates stripped of their assets, tarred and feathered and left standing on the streets homeless holding a sign saying "will work for food".

23. Man, me, too
Though I have to say, one of my 401(k)s, from a company I cannot name but which is a wonderful company and I will be forever glad I worked there, is a 401(k) which they manage, and actually managed to go up almost 30% last year and the year before.

But yeah, Ken lay and all those criminal fucks need to be in jail. I'm totally okay with business, I love capitalism, I don't want socialism or communism, but there have to be regulations to protect the environment, to protect workers, to protect shareholders, and to keep companies from controlling the government.

Obviously, with this fascist criminal asshole in the white house, we won't be keeping corporations from controlling the government, but perhaps some day.

But some of the questions in this political thing are designed so that you can't be pro-capitalism but also pro-regulation, and can't be in favor earning whatever their talents can bring them while also saying you are in favor of demanding that corporations be socially responsible.

So, in many ways, the test is skewed. overall, i think it does a good job, though I wish they'd get the idealogy out of the questions.

Like with the Marijuana issue - personally I don't care either way if Marijuana is legalized or not (I'm a non-smoker with no opinion), but if I had to choose I just agreed (but no strongly).

Your political compass

Economic Left/Right: -8.75
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.97

This is obviously a result of my strong pro-labor upbringing in Detroit and my frequent visits to the Netherlands. (Even my wife is Dutch)

If it wasn't for spending 20 years in the USAF, it might be even farther to the left.

My score:
Economic Left/Right: -5.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.31

They ignored several issues, however, and I think they lumped civil rights in with Libertarian/Authoritarian, which isn't really fair. Universal Health Care, for intance, was dodged, with only a single question anywhere close to it. In a poll that would be more complete, I'd probably be in the 7s, 8s, or 9s.

33. question about ?#6:
Military action that defies international law is sometimes justified.

I guess I'm conflicted on this. On the one hand, I want to say no.

At the same time, am I the only person who is disgusted at the fact that there are "laws" pertaining to war? As if it's a big game of paintball? Part of me thinks that damn, if you're going to try to kill someone, do it. Don't make it a game subject to laws.

50. conservatives are more apt to give up on people
hence their support for death penalty, less willing to spend money on helping those in unfortunate straits. So a conservative seeing someone in an unlucky situation, might just say that's the person's fate or some such.

Anyway, that's my take on it.
