I am stranded at home due to snow...
We woke up to a snowstorm this morning. The kids are thrilled.

My husband had to take my car this morning (his is so very not good on snow), and he dropped my oldest at work.

My neighbor is going to take my kindergartener to school, and my preschooler will stay home.

I had some plans for today, but I won't be able to do what I'd planned. Ordinarily, I'd be okay with that, but at least one thing I had to do was of some importance.

At any rate, I'm stuck at home.

4. It's pretty unusual around here, especially this early...
it almost looks like enough snow to be Minnesota.

The kids are desperate to make a snowman, which is also an unusual occurrence around here.

The talking weather heads are saying rain for tomorrow.

5. Where are you?
Sounds like Colorado - based on what's been on the news.

I don't know why, but I was surprised to find out that the place we stayed recently in Wyoming (at 7000 feet, in the Snowy Range) was shut in from Oct 31 to May 1 -- the state closed the road through the mountains between those dates.

Travel was mostly by snowmobile during the winter.

6. I'm in the Treasure Valley in Idaho...
which includes Boise and the surrounding area. If it's like this here, I can only imagine what it's like up in the mountains.
