"The Squid and the Whale"

After the kind of disappointing concert tonight, we got out a 9:30 PM. We walked past the downtown movie theater and went to see the 9:45 PM screening of this movie. Evil movie distributors aren't bringing it out to the suburban theaters.

It is about a dysfunctional family with two kids who are very impacted by the situation. The movie was shot in 23 days and stars Jeff Daniels and Laura Linney.

It's getting an 82 (All Favorable Reviews) out of 100 at:

Just passing the time now that it's 1 AM. I should have gone to sleep hours ago.

dysfunctional family, but well acted and intriguing. As an "independent film release," the movie is only open in 102 theaters nationwide at this time. If it gets any nominations for Oscar notice, other theater owners might pick it up.
