So if you were going to CHANGE your moniker, what would it be?
This thought occurs to me frequently, having been in many rock bands with many names. Obviously the downside is you lose your heavy-poster status, if that matters to you, but now that we have this "1000+ posts" thingie the Levellers have eliminated that pseudo-status achievement. And of course there are legendary tales of the Great Ones among us going about as lesser men or women, taking on the mean cloak of a new moniker and going among the peasantry to hear what they REALLY say when they don't know you are Neo, The ONE.

But who wants to bother with that. I just want to know what other really cool screen names you've thunk up ever since you saddled yourself with the one you're stuck with now. Sure, go ahead and include ones you're using or have used elsewhere...

For me, I kinda like

AntManBee. From the Beefheart song, in my sig line. Nice anti-war message beneath the obscure surrealism. Octafish eat your (Beef)heart out. I've also used other Beefheart-inspired ones on other forums. Mascarasnake for one. There are entire forums however, where I couldn't think up a single Beefheart reference that hadn't been taken. Can you imagine. Not even music-related forums either.

AntennaHead. From a band I used to be in.

VacuumAdvance. Ooooh, anarco-nihilistic. Or internal-combustion-related. For my anarchistic side. Or greasemonkey side. You decide.

Wiseass. Preemptive: "Whatta you, a wiseass?" Yup.

TechnicalSpecs. The hyper rationalist. Or just a guy with glasses.

Kill All Robots. If it's not an anime title it should be. Nice political overtoes too. Or not so nice.

Da5id. Or YT, or Hiro Protagonist. Or other Snow Crash reference.

And of course now I can't think of any of the actually good ones that have crossed my mind. Probably just as well. But here I am stuck in the guise of mild-mannered DrBB....

What would YOU choose? And why?

5. SupermarineSpitfire
Or LockeedLightning.
Or maybe DouglasDauntless (I think I like that best, a second rate plane that was truely good at it's job. Champion aircraft carrier killer of all time!)

6. Do I detect a theme?
Always liked the Douglas Dauntless, just for the name. Hey, check out this eerie, evocative pic of one:

Guess that guy never made it back to his base. Speaking of lost pilots, how about Lockheed Electra, for Amelia Earhart's last plane?

9. More than one theme there...
They're alliterative.
They're WW2 combat aircraft.
And my favorites, the British Hurricane and the American Dauntless were both the second best designs that did very good jobs.
