Poll question: worse parents?

The kind that keep their toddlers on a leash, or the kind that have "family walkie-talkies".

I hate both kinds. If I ever meet someone who does both, I'm going to crack a keg of whoop-ass and make them funnel.

1. Hey! We have walkie=talkies for multiple family outings...

they make it easy to communicate car-to-car, and the parents have lots more fun with them than the kids.

It also allows the older ones a taste of autonomy, as they can take off out of sight, but we can check in on them. Great for camping...

2. Actually, the leash/harness things aren't as bad as you think

I know some children have elbows/shoulders that are very easily dislocated. An adult tugging on their little arm all the time to keep them from running off causes some damage.

It can be an odd sight, I agree. I don't use them, but I can imagine it's a good deal easier than lugging a big stroller around. And I've never seen a parent dragging a toddler around like some people do their dogs :)

may have an issue, like autism, which makes it much safer for them to be on a leash to prevent them from wandering/running off.

Don't be so judgemental. Sometimes there are real reasons why people have to do the things they do.

4. If you don't have cell phones,

walkie-talkies are good for large places, like a festival, a mall or some other place where you can easily get separated or teenagers might want to walk off on their own. And not just for kids; sometimes it's hard enough finding all the adults before you leave.

We used to use them, but most of us have cell phones now.

5. The little radio jobbies are better when traveling...

9. Walkie talkies. I pity those children.

A nice long leash can help the toddler in its bid to escape those overbearing types of parents. The walkie talkie idea is like what my mother did to me at 34 years of age. She got me an emergency cell phone so she can aggravate the hell out of me with text messages. She wanted me to spend hours typing a simple message back too. I don't have that kind of time. She's got all day long to deal with those frustrating text messages. Ugh, I hate text messages on the cell phone. It takes forever. I finally quit looking at them and told her to just tell me whatever she needed to say. It would probably take her just as long, but at least it won't take me as long to reply. With either a cell phone or a walkie talkie, I can see toddlers :headbang: trying to cope with the frustration and lack of breathing room. I feel for them.

10. Than ones that hand bracelet there kids with a tracker

If someone is diseased enough to kidnap a kid i dont what to thank of how he would get rid of a locked bracelet.
