Ok...Colors. Explain this one to me.

I am having a discussion with a friend. Trying to convince him that say, something that is the color yellow is actually every color but yellow. In order to see yellow it has to reflect yellow. Therefore, it is every color but yellow.

Discuss?

2. Actually, what we percieve as colour is nothing more than...

a quirk of our sensory apparatus. Since most humans have similar perception of reflected wavelengths and the linguistic ability to describe differences among them, we can speak of things being red, yellow, et cetera. But it's accurate say that an object we perceive as yellow reflects the yellow portion of the visible spectrum.

3. Depends on what your definition of "is" is

In order to appear yellow, it has to absorb every color but yellow. A little different than saying it "is" every color but yellow.
