Without a Trace....

They did the whole show from the perspective of the missing persons family, in this case, the parents of a teen age boy...

We were left in the dark... we were given drips of information... We saw how the questioning looked from the parents POV... We weren't looking at everything from the FBI's perspective...

Powerful stuff...

Laurie Metcalf, better known as Roseanne's sister, played the mother... I haven't seen that fine of acting on TV for a very long time...

3. I've never seen that show but it sounds good
I was watching a documentary that followed seven gay and lesbian couples after same-sex marriage was made legal in MA. It was very intriguing.

10. It even had some 'save traditional marriage' wingnuts
One woman was crying and saying if they didn't pass the Constitutional amendment to prohibit same-sex marriage in MA that she'd move out of the state, perhaps to VA. My response was "Good riddance, VA is the perfect place for your type". :wtf: is it with these people anyway? They go ballistic over how same-sex marriage will destroy "traditional marriage" yet don't breathe a word about what divorce has done to it.

12. Cause they can't function without a scapegoat....
They just can't...

Cause then they would have to see the truth and they can't handle it...

14. "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth!"
"No truth handler you. I deride your truth handling ability!"

4. Very good one tonight
At first I was getting pissed because they were treating the parents so rudely. Then I realised what they were doing. Very good change of perspective.

CSI was very good tonight also. I had a feeling the widow wasn't going to blame the captain for her husbands death. Very teary at the end.

15. I bawled like a baby. I cannot stand to get all teary eyed
like that. It was a great episode, wasn't it?

I'm still trying to figure out what's up with Delco on CSI: Miami. And even though Wolf is such a little prick on that show, I still hated to see him with nails sticking out of his eyes.

9. Sorry I missed it...
I don't watch any shows regularly, but that is one I enjoy whenever I happen to be flipping channels on Thursday nights. Sounds like an intriguing episode!

11. Oh it was great....
The main characters became part of the back ground... They only revealed tid bits of info... We saw nothing of how they were getting their information... Really a brilliant piece of TV...

13. I especially liked the scene where they had the parents
ID the body they had. The father's puking scene were spectacular. That should be the first thing they teach actors in school. It IS a fine art when they do it well enough that you can hear them wretch and they actually LOOK sick. It was a gripping show tonight. I wish they would do more shows that way.

the other CBS show I really like is Cold Case. I used to never miss either one. Two shows with great casts and great premises to start off with.
