4. Uhm, age is sooooo
overrated, it might not exist at all. (And since I'm on a different timezone where midnight already has passed, another Happy Birthday!).

We're all still young!

5. You know, 48 doesn't bother me..it's the fact that there are even older
years to come!

Thanks again!

I know what you mean.

I'm 49 and I LOVE IT. And expect to continue to love it.

Happy Birthday. :)

8. Thanks...You know, I knew I was getting up in years about 10 years
back when I stopped being able to recall what I got people for Christmas. Seriously, I used to be able to say, Oh, I got that for you 2 years ago, etc. Now, I can't recall if it was last year or the year before, or the year before....

11. Yep. My brain used to give me an array of words to chose from
where now I sometimes grope for one friggin' word.

Upside: I used to be shy about talking.

:)

Enjoy!

And feel the load slip slide off your back, your greater ease among your fellow travelers, a deeper appreciation for the "little" things.

Like air and sky and that kind of stuff.

18. I'd love to surrender the things of age!
And by things, I really do mean things! As you get older, you acquire things, most of which you really don't need!

"I'm KEEPING the cat toys and the cello!"

Have a wonderful day. I think our 40s and 50s are a well kept secret.

Check behind me, see if that's true.

9. Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way.
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way.

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time.
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over,
Thought I'd something more to say.

Ahh, they got this one right.
