What's the most violent thing you've done?
In junior high, someone kicked my crutch out from under me when I was walking down the hall. I made sure to hit her across the shins with my crutch on the way down.

5. Phisically attacked boyfriend.
(Years ago).I am not proud of myself; but I will qualify it by saying that it at a party at our house after we had gotten back together(short break of 2 months after 6 years together). He invited not one but BOTH of the women that he had CHEATED on me with and one of them had EMAILED MY MOTHER WHO HAD CANCER AND TOLD HER I WAS A STRIPPER.
Let's just say the police became involved and I should have been on an episode of COPS. Fourtunately all I had to do was leave for the night.
Ah, youth. I was SO STUPID; and very very naieve.
I still think he deserved it,though. Nothing else would get it through his thick skull.........sorry.

8. Tripped somebody in 8th grade.
I'm not sure why I did it. Except it felt nice to do unto others what had been done unto me too many times in the past (and since).

That was the only time, actually. I prefer to be the punching bag than the boxer, it seems.

9. Put someone down on the ground-broke his jaw.
At a party in high school, this guy had taken acid and was tripping badly. He attacked a girl in the house so I bear-hugged him and took him outside. I told him he needed to calm down. Up to this point I had not harmed him. He sat on the ground for a minute and I was sitting on the hood of my car. He then started yelling "get him away from me!" ect..... He picked up a 2 x 4 and started running to wards me holding it like a ball bat ready to swing at me.
I backhanded him across the face with a closed fist and he landed on his butt. He dropped the 2x4 and crawled away. He then left the party.
I found out later he had a broken jaw.

In ninth grade, I kept having problems with a bully. So one day, I got fed up with his shit and on the school bus I kept banging his head into a window.

17. I beat the shit out of several people in my day.....
I was a bouncer and worked at bars...

I got the shit kicked out of me several times as well....

But perhaps the worst thing I did that cemented my rep as a bad ass in my home town, this dude kept calling me pizza face, all the time pizza face...

At a party, he was standing across from me in a kitchen with an island, he said, what's up pizza face and I just hauled off and put my boot in his chest, cold cocked him on the way down and stood over him and said, don't you ever call me pizza face again...

It was then I started to not call other kids names.... I learned a lesson by being aggressive and I am sure he learned a lesson as well...

18. I was suspended for fighting in high school
I didn't start it, but the principal had to suspend us both.

It was outdoors in about 18 inches of powder snow, we had heavy parkas and gloves on, everything was so heavily padded that there was not much damage done. It started when he smashed me in the face with a ball of ice.

I tell people now, and they are amazed.

28. I was suspended in Jr. High for defending myself
Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 02:04 PM by OhioBlues
We had the usual PE softball that day. I was Captain for one team and another girl, Vera was captain of another. We were choosing teams and when we got to the last two, Vera yelled, you two aren't playing I don't want either of you on my team. I said she was full of shit if she thought she'd get away with that and told her fine they're both on my team. She made some stupid comment about how she'd see me later, I just said whatever. Afterward in the locker room she started punching me when I walked to my locker so I shoved her and she hit her back on the corner of a locker door and started screaming bloody murder. She went straight to the coach and narc-ed me out. We were both suspended...sigh

edited to add:

Oh and I have spanked both of my kids at least once though only with a hand on clothed behinds. I had to add this though because they were both outraged that I'd spanked them. It was the most violent thing to happen in their lives at the time. :spank:

and shoot out street lamps with a .22 rifle. This was in like, '83. I got busted one time and because I was white and driving in my mom's Cadillac the cops gave me two tickets and let me go. They got me for possession of a loaded firearm and possession of alcohol under age. They dropped drunk driving, open container and shooting a firearm out of a moving vehicle. They found bullet casings on the floorboard. They actually let me drive away from all this. When I went to court they fined me $240.00 and of course the gun was confiscated when the cops pulled me over.

A bunch of us were in the playground, huddled over someone playing Gameboy. A kid called Simon gave me a push & I flipped out. but I gave someone whiplash once.

It was in PE, I had just taken a semester of karate and my reflexes were very sharp.

Well, I grabbed the ball and another girl, much taller than me grabbed it at the same time. I automatically tucked and spun around in an effort to control the ball and flipped her over my shoulder and she slammed to the ground.

I found out later that she was diagnosed with whiplash and she had to drop the class. :-(

Her older sister wanted to kick my ass for "beating up" her baby sister. She had it all over school that she wanted to find me. When she did find me and saw my size, she realized I couldn't have hurt her sister on purpose, I was much too small to really kick anyone's ass on purpose.

38. A couple of things
The first was just after I was out of high school. I was talking to my boyfriend on the phone, and my dad wanted to use the phone. I said, "Just a minute" as I needed to tell my boyfriend goodbye. Well, my dad cut the call off, and I just exploded. I hung up the phone and started hitting him. He started to hit me back, and my mom and one of my brothers had to pull us apart. I was just full of rage. My dad was an alcoholic, and I had lived with years of crap with him. He was a real Jeckle/Hyde person -- great when he was sober, not so very great when he had been drinking.

The other time was shortly before my ex-husband and I divorced. We were fighting, and he said something that really pissed me off. I picked up an ashtray and threw it at him. Good thing he had good reflexes, as he moved his head just in time. But the wall didn't do so well - it had a pretty good dent in it.

Haven't done anything like that since. Not that I don't sometimes get mad, but I handle it differently now!

Edited on Sun Oct-30-05 03:41 PM by primate1
I was walking down over the stairs with food and drink in my hands. The stairs had a crawl space and openings between the stairs, so he hid there and tripped me up, causing me to fall down the stairs and sending food and drink everywhere. I grabbed him through the stairs and punched him.

Other than that I've lived a very non-violent life. Two years ago I got into what should have been my first fist fight, but I just took a couple punches and left.

42. Kicked a door, then knocked a screen out.
I was at a new job with a new group of friends and we'd all been drinking pretty heavily to "bond". We were all in one room watching tv, and apparently I had dozed off from the alcohol and was snoring. They tried the trick where you put shaving cream in someone's hand, then tickle their nose so -splat- goes the shaving cream all over me...but I didn't wake up immediately.

Apparently they felt really guilty about doing this and cleaned it all off me. I woke up with everyone staring at me and felt a little weird. I stumbled to the bathroom and in the mirror noticed a glob of shaving cream in my hair. Now this is one of my "do not push" buttons; I *hate* being messed with while unaware of it. I walked back to the room to ask what the heck had happened but they had shut the door and locked it - if they'd explained and fessed up I wouldn't have gotten so angry...and that's my second button; if you're going to play a joke, you'd better let me in on it afterwards. I kicked the door and then went out the screened patio for some air...I guess I thought I needed to open the window, but it didn't actually open and I knocked the screen out of the frame.

Almost a year ago. It's a long story, but he was a big guy who went out of his way to insult, belittle and threaten a slender 5'2" girl. I smacked him in the face - hard - and stood him down, daring him to come after me. He didn't.

It is one of the things I am most ashamed of - a stupid, rash action. I detest violence. But the red mists got me.

I've never done anything remotely like that before or since.

48. where to begin...a hockey player's memoir...
slashing, hooking, tripping, roughing, high sticking, fighting...

the most horrible offense i think i committed in hockey though, was one time i was kicked while playing a friendly in a pal's driveway (it was solid ice so we slid around in our shoes rather than run). it was by this kid that had a reputation for starting shit, so i let it pass, but later he sticked me in the groin, so when he wasn't looking, i cross checked him in the back of the head and knocked him face first into the ice. when he was on the ground i politely reminded him about how the game is supposed to be friendly and he should refrain from trying to hurt me and the others in the future. he persisted and tried to get revenge on me a few plays later, so i slashed him really hard in the thigh and punched him in the jaw.

i also pummel people at the hardcore shows who love to "hardcore dance" aka throw punches and kicks at the people that are nearby in an attempt to look like a tough guy. i saw a guy jump kick a small girl so i clotheslined him. Once I saw a buncha skinheads gang up on a black guy, so i elbowed them in the heads until they got the message they weren't welcome to single out the one black guy in the crowd and attack him because he's black.

i've been violent, but i think i'm starting to grow up, i detest violence at shows now, and usually stay out of the penalty box, unless someone attacks me first.

50. I've hit people a handful of times
(always people who were hitting or teasing me). Never did any lasting damage to them, though.

I'd say the most violent thing I've done wasn't physically violent at all.

There was a vice principal at my high school who was a nasty, horrible bitch. Several times she suspended me for defending myself, but the person who was tormenting me never got punished because his parents were rich. She also kept trying to get me expelled, and she was basically a horrible, fake, awful person.

I went back to high school a few years after graduation to visit and she saw me and came up to me like she was happy to see me and tried to give me a hug and a switch in my brain just flipped.

I kicked at her and said "I hate you! Get away from me!" repeatedly.

She freaked out and I am now banned from campus.

It was adrenaline, my father said "Go get this f*ckin' rock" because he wanted to see it after he got home because they had to take my cousin away in the ambulance...and I couldn't move the damned thing.

I was mad at her - can't remember why. I knew she'd be coming to the farm I lived on so I waited all day. When she drove up with another girl, I walked out and said, "Get out of the car."

She said, through the open window, "No, because you'll hit me." So I nailed her through the window, opened the door, hauled her out, paused to grab the keys and throw them in the high weeds in the pasture (so she couldn't escape) and proceeded to beat her like the proverbial redheaded step-child.

The other girl, in comical fashion, timidly approached and tapped me gently on the shoulder saying, "Skygazer... skygazer..." - I flung her aside and continued. She wandered off and looked for the keys.

It all ended when my friend managed to run off down the road. We laugh about it now...

54. Back in middle school, this guy was annoying me.
Not in a threatening way, but I slammed my palm into his nose and he started bleeding profusely. I later apologized, especially since it was not my nature to do something like that, and we were cool after that.

inappropriately when they were four. Really the adults in the neighborhoood should have taken the situation more seriously but they did not and something had to be done.

For the record, they were able to save one of his testes.

60. I used to jam lit firecrackers in live frog's mouths...
... and laugh like hell when they got blown to bits. Goddamn, they looked so stupid getting blown up like that! Oh, and then there was this one time I put a guy in a headlock and sucker punched him right in the nose while we were playing Rugby. I think I broke his nose, man... there was blood all over! Tooo funny! It was okay though, because he was a foreign exchange student on the other team.

But anyway all that child's play got old. Gotta move up in the world, you know? Nowadays I kill scores of civilian women and children in Iraq by indiscriminately blowing them to bits with cluster bombs. Man, it's crazy... little bits of Iraqis go flying everywhere, just like the frogs! Except... not as green! Get it? Not as green? Ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, and occasionally I kill a few Iraqi men, too. Well, actually, I don't do it. See, now I'm rich and powerful enough to make other people's children do it for me. How sweet is that? Still get the same kick out of it though. Heh heh.

Here's me going to town on that creepy foreign kid.

Here's a close up, so you can see how good I really nailed him!

64. Ripped apart a building with hammers and my bare hands as therapy
Back when I lived at my childhood home, there was this shed/building out back that wasn't being used. I decided to fix it up as my first attempt at moving out. Well, it had a dirt floor and shelves and was made with telephone poles. I left the telephone poles for looks. Everything else got ripped out and remodeled. I did much of it while angry at my mother or at some repug politician. That way I could rip them apart without going to jail.

67. In high school, a guy tried to rape a friend of mine at a party.
I was her ride to and fro. She came downstairs VERY upset. Told me what happened. Confronted in the same room, he admitted it. Said that "she wanted it" and that "blue balls weren't fair" and some other shit my mind blocked out. He was a senior (stereotypical jock asshole), and I was a freshman.

I made sure he swung first (some jocks just can't fight). I beat that guy with an intensity I can't describe. Absolute blind rage.

I went into protective custody (cops) and he went to the emergency room. It was a small town, and my mom was a teacher. The cops all knew my mom, my family. The "arresting" officer bought me a soda and french fries. He wanted the long and short of the story, and told me, off the record, he'd have done the same.

I hate what I did, and I feel very badly about it. If I knew where he was today, I'd apologize for my actions. I did it on purpose, I made him come after me first JUST so I could beat the shit out of him (though, to be honest, I didn't think that would happen).

I have serious issues with "big, strong men" raping women, or people taking advantage of the elderly, children or animals.

That was the last fight I was ever in, and I hope it never happens again. I don't like me when I've had to fight.

68. Blew up some guy's car once. Great fire.
This was the most violent, intentional thing I've done that I can think of right now. There are so many, though, and I had a troubled youth. And that youth lasted until I was thirty. :)

It was an old girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. Guy thought it would be funny to loosen the lugnuts on my car. Yeah, it would have been really funny to have a wheel or two fall off while I was doing seventy on the freeway with my kid, my girlfriend, and her kid in the car. Fucking hilarious in fact. Fortunately one of the little neighborhood kids came up and warned me after he left (it pays to be nice to kids -- they can be your best friend or your worst enemy).

I started getting really angry as I tightened all the lugnuts back into place. I had a tire iron in my hands, a couple of friends who also had grudges against the guy, and pretty soon we were running over to his house with an aresnal of tire irons and baseball bats.

We smashed everything glass, dented everything metal, broke the windows of his house with rocks. One of the neighbors came over, an old man, and demanded to know what in the hell we thought we were doing. I calmly told him what he'd done, explaining that he'd put not only my life but the lives of children in jeopardy.

The old man said, "Don't worry, I believe you, so I won't call the cops. Guy's a jackass, and I'm sure he deserves it, but he still lives with his parents, so stop beraking their windows."

"Sorry, sir," I replied respectfully, while my friends were pouring the contents of a lawnmower's gas can on the upholstery.

Several other neighbors came out and watched as the fire burned, most of them muttering something to the effect of "That shitheel probably deserved it."

It was all very surreal, and as the sirens began to wail in the distance, we walked. In fact, that may have been the only time in my life I intentionally sauntered.

73. Mine might have been last night.
I had just arrived at a party with about ten folks. After about 2 minutes (we were still outside) a few cars pull up and start yelling shit. Then they pile out of the cars. The girl I have a crush on goes up and starts trying to figure out what is the problem. I get scared about her safety and walk up to see what is going on. I get her to come back to the house and all hell breaks loose. It had turned into a little riot. I don't even know why. But, long story short. I have a few broken ribs today, and my left eye is damaged.

76. I have two...
My college boyfriend and I had been separated for about a week or two, and had a big final blowup in my dorm room.

I was dealing with a lot of issues at the time relating to my dad's death, and my stepmonster, so was a ticking time bomb. He said something that totally set me off, and I FLEW at him and began beating the shit out of him for all I was worth. I made a noise like a wild animal. I don't think I have ever been that angry/frustrated/scared ever again.

A year or so later, I was living at home with my mother, hating life, hating her, hating my stepmonster, and trying like hell to move out and get a life of my own. Their screwed up relationship poisoned my life for 10 wasted years that were supposed to be the best ones of my life. Instead they were miserable. I just wanted to be normal.

And my mom has major control issues. She has used money to control me my entire life. I was working a lowly retail job, and didn't have a pot to put sugar in, but needed to get out of that house. I wanted to break free of her a little at a time, and as I could, begin taking on more and more of the bills that she was paying as I could afford it.

When I told her I'd found a place and was moving in with a friend of mine, she told me that I could start paying my gas bill, car insurance, this, that, something else...

I couldn't believe that this woman was going to do anything in her power to keep me under her thumb. Just because she could. And I fucking hated her for that. I flew at her too, and began shaking her as hard as I could. Unfortunately, I picked a moment when she was getting ready for dinner, and had a steak knife nearby. My brother was in the living room, and came running out to the kitchen to separate us.

She kicked us both out of the house that night. Things eventually settled down, but my mom and I have never had a normal relationship.

He proceeded(in front of about 30 people) to stride toward me, unzip his pants, and stick his dick in my face--I made my right hand into a claw and struck said appendage with all my bitch power. He hopped back screaming & I got up & left the party.

There was one time when I was a little kid that I did something mildly violent. I have two older brothers who LOVED to taunt and tease me. One day, as one of my brothers was doing his usual teasing routine, I reached out and slapped him cold across the face. We both just stood there with our mouths open...neither of us could believe that I had just done that.

My other brother promptly began laughing hysterically. The brother I slapped had a large red handprint on his face, which was quite comical. :D

We still laugh about it to this day. BTW, we all get along much better as adults!

86. I have an appallingly quick temper.
Edited on Mon Oct-31-05 10:45 PM by distantearlywarning
It has gotten better as I have gotten older, and I have worked on it A LOT, but it is still there sometimes, simmering below the surface. And I have never had much patience with bullies and fools. But doing martial arts and fencing has helped a lot with self-control and allowed me to channel my naturally high-strung temperament and ferocity into something productive.

That being said, I have been in several fights as an adult (since the age of 18). Every time, I was swung at first, and then proceeded to kick the living daylights out of my opponent. In my own defense, however, I have never proceeded to physical violence before the other person did.

As a child, I was in the principal's office for fighting at least 3-4 times a year. Again, in my own defense, at least on some occasions I was defending other children from bullies, and in one memorable incident, I pushed a fully-clothed classmate into a pond because he was throwing rocks at ducks and wouldn't stop when I asked him to.

I'm not crazy or a sociopath. Honestly. I just hate to be pushed around or threatened by assholes and I hate to have to watch other people or animals suffer.

I'm a woman, for those who might be interested. It just goes to show you that gender stereotypes aren't always true of everyone.

ON EDIT: I think the #1 most violent thing I ever did was attack a guy who followed and then grabbed me on a dark street (presumably with the intent to hurt me in some way). I punched him in the face so hard I knocked him down and probably broke his nose. But I ran away after that, so I don't know for sure what happened to him. I hope I broke his nose though! :-) I was 16 and weighed about 110 lbs at the time, so I am pretty proud of that one to this day! I guess I think of it as the most violent thing I ever did because I was just in this pure rage/violence/fear mode when it happened - I didn't even remember it very well afterwards, I think because I was just acting on pure instinct. That's pretty scary when that happens.

You know what really pissed me off? After that he started listening to me. For me that helped when we were trying to figure out custody.
