After over a year, he finally figured out what that screen was he kept seeing all the time. :eyes; He said it was "interesting". It's a start... of course he's the kind of conservative who says he's conservative until you ask him where he stands on pretty much every single issue (the war and abortion are the big stumbling blocks here). Yet he continues to hit the Fux News* Channel site all day... :eyes: I even got him to do the Political Compass, and he ended up in the upper left, just left of the y-axis, not far from Pope Benedict. (Bear in mind that
John Kerry falls, though barely, in the upper right.)
He even pointed me to this fine article (I usually jump right into the thick and din of things, going right past the articles):
http://www.democraticunderground.com/articles/05/10/05_regrets.htmlThere may be hope for this otherwise fine young(ish) man yet. The thing is, every time an issue like Downing Street Minutes or Fitzmas comes up, he always asks me, "But what does that have to do with us?" Well, let's see, it shows that we can't trust our own leaders* if they tell us the sky is blue...
