as long as "you make a purchase each month" on the card? What a bunch of fucking parasites. I couldn't believe that-- as long as you keep spending, they won't tack on a late charge. Yeah, that's just what people who can't afford to pay their bills on time need to do-- spend more money. The fruits of more great legislation. :grr:

1. Yeah, it's Citibank
And isn't that wonderful of them since they were instrumental in getting the laws passed to enact late fees if they're even one day late?

Bastards.

3. what is so hard about that?
People need to spend money. You can use your card to buy gas, groceries, your phone bill, etc.
It is a silver lining, not a cloud. However, like most of the perks in this world, it will only goto people with good credit ratings, not to those who need it the most. If you are late more than twice a year, I bet you get dropped from the program. As a customer service person for citibank, I spent a fair amount of time reversing late fees. This card is going to save citibank customer service expenses and it gives them a competitive edge. At least until Capital One and BOA follow suit.
