Greatest ever DVD extras
Having an hour to kill, I popped in disc 2 of Terror Firmer and discovered a music video called "Freak of the Week". It stars Ron Jeremy (and a guy I don't remember) who rap alongside Lynn Redgrave, Corey Feldman, Granpa Munster, Sir Mixalot, Heidi Fleiss, John Wayne Bobbitt and a bevy of topless women. Best thing I've seen in ages!

Anyway what are the best extras you've seen?

My top 3:

1) The lego version of 'Camelot' in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. (Which you can watch & read all about here:
http://www.dailyllama.com/news/2004/llama262.html )

2) The Bruce Campbell commentary on The Evil Dead. I'm not a huge fan of commentaries after being burned on several occassions by incredibly dull directors, actors, etc. But Bruce is brilliant and fills the hour and a half with anecdote after anecdote.

3) The second disc on Cronenberg's Fast Company which contains his first two full length (well 65 minutes each) films Stero and Crimes of the Future. I thought I would never see these films and so it was utter bliss to get hold of them. I'd love to see this carried on with other directors early works.

(& as an extra related aside, can anybody explain what the 'Tiny Fucked a Stump' extra on House of 1000 Corpses is all about?)

By Cronenberg called "Camera" which is pretty cool.

And Michel Gondry's Directors Label dvd (a collection of his music videos) has a documentary on it about Michel's influences and techniques that's really interesting and a short film he made called La Lettre which is pretty cool as well.

6. Not just the Lego knights
The subtitles on the clips from the Japanese release are hilarious. But my favorite bits are the BBC Film Night report and especially the documentary with Palin and Jones going back to the locations, like Doune Castle.

Others that rock are the "making of" on "Dr. Strangelove" (tons o' great trivia) and the backstory "Orson Welles vs. William Randolph Hearst" on "Citizen Kane."
