1. Carl's Jr. might actually be good, but when I was younger they had a
series of health violations at the local Carl's Jr. (e coli, hep, and something else), and now I can't bring myself to ever eat there.

2. white castle does not make the list?
I am not even sure I have seen one, much less set foot in one, but sliders are legendary in infamy.

4. Jack in the Box
Got caught using Australian horse meat in the 80's, I think.

And it always tasted like dead Australian horse meat.

6. "it always tasted like dead Australian horse meat"
Would you prefer live Australian horse meat then?

That said, I could mention any number of kebab shops here. Truly horrible stuff that nobody ever eats when sober. Mind you, the fact that Kebab shops are a good place to go if you want to watch drunks fighting is a good enough reason to avoid the places anyway if you ask me.

27. And because of that they lead the industry now in sanitary standards
After the incidents where folks got sick and died (and it was mostly children, if i am not mistaken) they revamped their sanitary procedures completely. Now Jack-in-the-box restaurants are consistently rated very highly by local health inspectors.

Like them or not, these days JITB is about the safest fast food there is.

I picked up something on the way back from WWE/Raw last week in Sac. and when I got back, 1 out of 3 was unedible. I would've went back if they weren't over an hour away.

Oh ya, other than that, McDs is the worst.

18. Hee hee hee . . . I quote . . .
Burger Shack Employee: Ding-dong! May I interject for a second? As a Burger Shack employee for the past three years, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that if you're craving White Castle, the burgers here just don't cut it. In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one... just makes me want to burn this motherfucker down! Come on, Pookie, let's burn this motherfucker down! Come on, Pookie! Let's burn it, Pookie! Let's burn this motherfucker down! Let's burn it down! Let's burn it! So you guys maybe should just suck it up and go to White Castle.

Yes, Big Macs look like a Royal burger from Red Robin next to them. Yes, those vandalia onions sit with you for a day and a half. But after a concert or for just a plain crave, those shitty burgers taste like manna!!

I'm HughBeaumont and I'm a slobbering White Castle fan.

McDonalds, on the other hand, sucks ass through a Spiderman straw . ..

20. urgh....I just threw up a little in my mouth...
after being forced to eat there one too many times, I put my foot down! 'I am tired of having both diarrhea AND vomiting after eating! I will not eat there!'

dh cannot even pull into the drive thru without vomiting...last time we were there with friends that HAD to have sliders, he ran out of the car and hid behind the dumpsters for ten minutes... just the smell alone did it...

but we do eat mickey d's... :-)

23. I haven't eaten at McGreasedrown since 2004.
Burger King, however, that's a different story.

I used to piss people off when I ate at fast food restaurants/all you can eat buffets when I was younger. I was on a quest to gain weight, since I weighed 140 and for a 5'8" guy, that didn't get you far in HS life. I'd eat 2 Whoppers in one sitting, 3 Big Macs, I'd head to White Castle and eat like I'd been in a desert, I'd go to all you can eat buffets and rob those suckers blind . . . NOTHING. It was so frustrating. I weigh a nice 185 now. Apparently that's bordering on obese for my height even though my waist is 34 inches. Go figure.

That, I think, is where my taste for White Castle came from. And I like the taste of Burger King's stuff.

I hate mayonnaise.

30. Castles are great -
once in a while. Sometimes nothing else will do. But those tasty onions have a nasty habit of repeating like artillery. For god's sake don't everstand near anyone who pigged out on Whiteys five or six hours previously. I refuse to even discuss the onion chips.

25. Was going to vote for
Burger King . . . but then the King in my signature gave me a warning look so I had to go with Mcdonald's instead.

Truth be told though I've gone two months without eating fast food at all and I am hoping to successfully give it up all together.

A little over two months ago I was eat a Hardee's hamburger and it hit me "Why the fuck do I still eat this stuff" and I this stuff and I stopped eating at the four main ones near my house (Hardees, Wendys, Burger King, Mcdonald's) . . . and now two months later I haven't eaten fast food since.

Happy to say so far I don't miss it. :)

McDonalds over Burger King any day. Plus the Burger "King" is really creepy.

I don't really eat at McDonalds though either. I like Wendy's they have good salads, and the Market Fresh Sandwiches at Arby's are the bomb.

31. Voted for Wendy's
Based on the one in my hometown; it's by far the worst fast food restaurant I've been to.

I'm shocked at all this White Castle-bashing; I can only wish for those delicious burgers here in the South!

Maybe it's just 'cause I grew up with them, but I really don't think fast food restaurants are particularly gross. There's something pretty good at all of them. I do respect those who boycott them based on being Repug donators (IIRC, it seems like only Sonic and Arby's are Dem contributors), but I couldn't be a "food snob" if I tried.
