So tonight my living room carpet got shampooed and my yard

got mowed. Amazing.

My young friend came over to mow my lawn, he finished and I paid him. About 10minutes later my doorbell rang again and it was a couple wanting to give me a free carpet cleaning of one room.

It was a Kirby vaccuum deal, and I told them before I let them in that no way in the world were they selling me anything, not no how not no way. I only have one carpeted room and we are putting tile and wood in to replace the carpet we have ripped up.

But they needed the demo tonight so I let them clean it and it looks quite nice. It will be clean in there for a while now. Much nicer for Christmas, etc.


Well, because someone was actually in my house and working, I had to get up and work too. So I folded towels, unloaded my dryer, sacked up some newspapers for recycling, washed my bathroom rugs.

Never made it to the grocery though
