"Serenity" or "Wallace & Gromit" tonight?

SO and I are HUGH Joss Whedon fans - we own all the seasons of Buffy on CD, and saw every episode of Angel and Firefly.

On the other hand, we own all the Nick Parks shorts as well. The train chase in "The Wrong Trousers" makes me laugh so hard I cry.

What to do?

Way to childish. Not as good as his other stuff.

It just wasn't as brilliant?, intelligent?, grown up? I'm not really sure what it is exactly, maybe too hollywood, maybe too disneyesque. It just seems to be missing something.

On the other hand, I know others who saw it and thought it was as good as the wrong trousers or a close shave. Both of which I thought were just brilliant, maybe its just me.

Haven't seen serenity. Can't comment, wouldn't be fair anyway, since I've only seen bits of firefly and only could stand buffy/angel for Charisma Carpenters body.
