Advice please...My son hurt his leg at the park 2 weeks ago & still limps
We took him to an orthopedic doctor who took Xrays and found nothing.

Our son is still limping and in favoring one leg over the other his muscles in his injured leg are becoming noticably softer compared to his uninjured leg.

The doc said it will just take time...

Is there anything that he may have missed if he didnt find a break in the xrays?

Our sons leg seems to be getting weaker not stronger.

Any similar experiences? Thoughts or advice?

Thanks

a neurologist? Maybe nerve damage?

On edit: I'm not a doctor. You need a doctor's opinion, so maybe a neurologist would be a good first step.

2. Get a second opinion
Doctors and x-ray techs can make mistakes.

3. yeah, this'll be locked, but perhaps a hairline fracture?
They hurt like hell and don't always show up on X-rays. Some kind of really bad shin splint, perhaps.
