1. Short version
Sox won 2-1 on an RBI double with two out in the 9th.

I'll let somebody else do the long version. :grr:

4. the game was tied in the 9th
2 out for the Sox.. The batter struck out making it the 3rd out and should have sent the game into extra innings. The Angels started off the field since the play was over (the ump did signal strike 3 and the batter was out) but the batter ran to 1st. The ump decided the catcher had dropped the ball and awarded the batter first base.

the next guy hit a home run to win instead of extra innings.

total bullshit call.

6. What angers me - it wasnt a home run.
It was a walk-off double to left field after Pierzynski stole second.

I'm going to the game in Anaheim tomorrow night. It should be quite interesting. Hopefully the fans will boo this guy off the field.

5. I just posted a thread about it.
Total jobbing by the umpires. Really strange too, because the Ump actually DOES call him out. He seems to change his mind when AJ runs to first base.

White Sox fans have to know they got a free one there.

7. It's true that Pierzynski swung and missed at Ball 4.....
The homeplate ump called an awful game. There were numerous pitches that were obviously low called strikes on both teams.

Pierzynski had no choice but to swing at it. In any case, he ended up on first base.

Crede up, Ozuna pinch running for A.J. Crede took two, not one, but TWO strikes down the middle so that Ozuna could steal 2nd. Then he hit the next pitch off of the LF wall. Game over.

Did it hit the ground before Paul caught it? Honestly, it was really a close call. But Paul should have either tagged A.J. or else thrown it down to first.

So far, 2 great games. And it's 1-1. You won't hear me complain. We got one, for sure, but it'll even out. It always does. It's baseball.

10. That's a really good article. Very good analysis.
I thought the same thing after the play. I immediately though "Bartman"

That poor kid. His association to baseball will always be bad.
