Anyone ever post or been the subject of a Craigslist Missed Connection?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever met someone in this way.

As an FYI to those who may not know - craigslist is a free message board. The missed connections section is for people like me who like to make flirty eye contact but are lacking the chutzpah to actually say hi to all the little cuties we see in the world. So we post our affections anonymously, not even really hoping to get a response back. It's more of a cathartic release, I think. I use it to make random shout-outs at all the cute people I see every day.... some day I'll have the inner fortitude to go up to strangers and compliment them on their genetics, but in the interim, this works nicely.

Anywho... I saw myself on craigslist MC the other day. :)

2. No but I've been tempted to post

a missed connection before. It is theraputic to put it out there that someone you may never meet or see again still touched you in some significant way.

I've had my share of unrequited love in my life and it gives me a sense of closure in a way. The love and the energy that I wanted to devote to this person has got to be transferred somewhere.

7. ohhh.... this was more of a "you made me smile"

type post. You know.. the garden variety "you have lovely hair"-type posts that make us stop and feel a little bit nicer inside.

Of course... I suppose it could be an offer for further correspondence. D'oh! :think:
