It drives me crazy when people use the term "alter ego" in this context. Shouldn't they be using the term "alter idem" (literally "a second self") instead of "alter ego" (which I still read as "best friend or bosom buddy")?

17. Yeah, see, most people I know who use colloquial Latin semi-knowledgably,

don't use "alter idem." Ever. So, maybe "alter idem"--oh, hell, nevermind. I'll just ask my teacher on Monday.
