Almost all of Colorado's old town are cool. But here's something peculiar about Canon City:

great river, follow the road up the river to the High Country.

there is a prison there.

It's in a pretty part of the state; up in the mountains.

Not far from Park county; might be in Park county. That's more-or-less the setting for South park, which is a favorite of many people on this board.

Might have a job offer there, and thinking about moving there and curious as to what people's impressions are.


Oh and many thanks to those who have (or will..hopefully) weigh-in.

It looks like a nice place to live, very different than the DC I am used to, but such a change would be welcome.

Not to mention cheaper!

when things get bad, in the winter your politics and religion have no meaning

The mountains teach you as much as the sea.

The highest bridge over a canyon is right up the road in US
Royal Gorge., and then you still climb until you reach
the continental divide.
and then you decide.

what part of the liquid you come from
the Atlantic or the Pacific.
