It's been a long time
since I last saw you.
Oh yes, I'm doing fine
since I've seen my guru.

No, he's not in the far east,
but he does have powers.
The kind that can tame the beast
that sapped me of my hours.

These five little pills
is all that I needed
to cure me of my ills,
make true all I have pleaded.

I'm a different man now,
truly myself as an adult.
No more will I drown.
No it wasn't your fault.

Nobody was in error,
I hope you can see that.
Insanity, the cause of my terror,
a mixture of paranoia and flat.

But I've done a lot of bad things
in the midst of my illness.
Can you see the sadness that brings
now that I'm into wellness?

So I ask for forgiveness,
that wasn't me who did those things.
It was this blasted illness
and all the heartache that it brings.

I need people like you.
So I ask you old friend,
I hope it will be true,
will you be my friend again?
