Dumb question Re: ethernet cards
My question is what the hell is it and how do I know if I have one?

We're finally trying to step into the 21st century by getting DSL and the order form online says I need an ethernet card on my pc. I don't even know what that is.

1. ethernet card...
A network adapter that enables a computer to connect to an Ethernet. It is a printed circuit board that is plugged into the computers on the Ethernet or may be built into their motherboards. The Ethernet cards are connected to each other by cables.

5. Go to desktop, right click on "My Computer", select "System Properties"

Go to the "Hardware" tab and then the "Device Manager"

Is there a "Network Adapters" section? If there is and there is an entry beneath it (expand by clicking "+"), then you have one.
