The newest additions to the Beast Family.
The other day, Cathyclysmic and I welcomed five Glowlight Tetras into our existing family. It would be silly to individually name them all, so I'm trying to come up with a collective name for them. Finally, Coleman the cat has a new program to watch in the fall lineup.

Here are some pics taken with my camera phone, for the aquarium-keeping folks:

1. If you only had four, I'd tell you to call them the Tetrahedron
but you have too many :)

12. Nope.
I am training them to be attack fish; you know, in case there is a burglar or something. :)

i have never been able to keep those alive for more than a couple of weeks. one of my fish guys told me they are VERY weak species due to over-breeding

best of luck

6. Heheheh, over-breading? I hear a lot of fish have problems with that
Of course, it sure improves the flavor, but what do I know?

10. That's my fear.
Other than guppies and bettas, this is my first foray into tropical aquarium keeping. If they die, I'll go with a heartier type of fish.

13. Good luck to you.........I keep fish too. They're a great pet.
I've never kept Tetras. My cichlids would terrorize and then eat them.

Looks like a great tank.

14. I LOVE fishies!
But have never had good luck with tetras. I've tried several different kinds. Your first week or two will be the telling time; if you notice ANY kind of white specks on them get some Ick treatment right away!!! I've saved many a fish from Ick but if it's not treated immediately there's very little hope. Tetras seem to be most susceptible to it, it's caused by stress and will usually pop up during the first week after a big change.
Good luck and enjoy the pretty fish, they're some of the coolest!
