Anybody seen "March of the Penguins"? What did you think?
Most Saturdays I take myself out for ice cream and a movie and I'm thinking about seeing "March of the Penguins" today. Was just wanting to get an opinion from people who have actually seen it.

1. Astonishingly beautiful and very emotional. Definitely not a kid's
movie as it deals pretty harshly with birth and death issues.

See it on the big screen, most definitely. The photography is incredible.

Just try to keep from crying, I dare you!

2. I'm in such a hyper-emotional state right now...
there's no way I won't end up crying. Everything makes me cry. :) It's not a bad thing...just how things are right now.

3. Then go, because it'll also give you plenty of warm fuzzies.
It's a healthy outlet, IMHO, especially when everyone is trying to choke back their emotions.

If you couldn't tell by now, I loved it!

5. I've seen it and recommend it..
The lives of the Emperor Penguins in the very harsh antarctic environment is brilliantly captured. You really gert a feel for and a new respect for these beautiful and very loving animals. The cinematography is amazing. My two children were upset at various times while watching certain parts that dealt with dangers to the penguins, but overall enjoyed the documentary very much.

6. I'm a nut... a penguin net!
I collect penguins, so when I saw the preview the first time (ok... and the second and third anfourth times...) I literally squealed! Mr. kt prompltly slid down in his seat!

I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I also cried the whole way through (i'm really sensitive. Mr. kt always jokes, when ever a tear falss "Ok, who dropped the hat!) Seriously, it does play on the meotions, but I loved it. The film sets these little guys up almost like they are people in a sense of their reactions to natural events (babies not surviving the harsh weather.) The orginal cut of this French documentary had "voices" for the penguins, actually creating lines and a drama out of it. This cut of the film has Morgan Freeman (a good Dem!) narrating, and he, of course, has that golden voice that works so well with the tone of the film.

SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
