What are the biggest lies Neocons tell about liberals and liberalism?

Here's tonight's homework. I want to get a nice long list.
It's gosphel to them but the rest of the world goes "Huh?."

For me: Liberals brought about the defeat of the US in Vietnam.

My parents were God-fearing, tax-paying America-loving Americans and they just got sick and tired of being lied to by presidents and generals. It had nothing to do with Jane Fonda or anything else. They were smart enough to know that the thing had turned into a huge mistake. And I would hardly call them liberal.

For instance, on defense, even my way-left Quaker friends were somewhat resolved over the invasion of Afghanistan and prayed that it would be brief with little loss of innocent life. Then they were pretty piqued when doing a good job in Afghanistan was abandoned so the US could do a half-assed job in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

17. Thanks everyone. What set me off was an item on a blog about

a soldier who was killed. On the day of his funeral, his family had set up a big patriotic display in their yard with flags and pictures, etc. That night, some miscreants tore it up, including ripping up the flags. There were no suspects, but it's strange the family didn't see anyone doing any of this. To you and me, the first thing that pops into my head is a bunch of silly kids with no supervision (which is also the fault of some loose-moralled parents.)But to the Neocons, this was proof positive that evil liberal-Democrats would stoop to any low to show our contempt of America and the military. Now if they actually had pictures of Chuck Shumer and Ted Kennedy doing this...
