Best. TV. Series. Ever.
"The Prisoner"

Netflix or buy it now.

From 1967, it delves into the ideas of conformity and true individuality.

"Free for All" and "Hammer Into Anvil" are two of its all time greats, but for 1967 this show is one that has only improved with age. And not just because TV itself has continued to become more dumbed down over the ages.

9. It's excellent and ground-breaking, but...
...it can be a tad esoteric and pretentious at times.

That said, I'm a huge fan. I have books and videos, and I've even been to Portmeirion, where the exteriors were shot.

There's an official fan club, but I think this independent website is better than the club's. Enjoy!
