19. It sounds like you should
If I remember right, you have a math degree, but haven't had much luck finding a job. You complain that most jobs seem to require advanced degrees. You live with or near your family, but they put you down instead of actually being your network for finding a job.
I am over in Wisconsin. The insurance companies advertise for people with math degrees. Several months ago, a large tech writing firm was advertising for training people to tech write and then be employed for their company that had science or math degrees. Go somewhere that they will value you more.
