1. Have you tried the low-acid variety?
I can't remember which brand makes it, but it's out there. You may want to give it a try, especially if you really like OJ.

2. Minute Maid makes a decent low-acid variety
I used to get a rash from eating oranges. After abstaining for a few years, the reaction did not reoccur. Maybe you can work your way up to full metal jacket OJ if you're careful.

4. I didn't know that existed....Thanks!

I went to breakfast with a friend of mine last week and I drank orange juice without thinking about what usually happens. Oddly enough, I drank a glass of OJ a few years ago from Nordstrom, and I didn't have canker sores, but I did become violently ill with food poisoning. I have bad luck with citrus:P.

Next time, I will order apple juice:hi:

6. Do you take vitamin C in any other form?
I do the same thing. My dentist told me that some people don't excrete vitamin C very quickly and the over abundance of it in the body creates the sores. My multivitamin contains C and if I eat too many citrus fruits or juices, I will get sores on my gums and lips.
