Propose New Forum..."The Sewer"...for posts that get deleted.

I'm old, and I can't keep up.
By the time I get to the "Good Parts",
the posts have already been deleted and the "name removed"!


Couldn't these posts be moved to a Forum called "The Trash" or "The Sewer" where voyeurs like me can go and see what they said?

The Moderator can use discretion, or just limit the this forum to posts from disruptors that have been tombstoned.
It would be like the "Hate Mailbag"....good for alot of laughs.

Sometimes the deletions cut significant parts of the flow of conversation. There ought to be a way to interrupt the disruption but allow the debris to be inspected ... forensically speaking.

Starred DU members could click on a deleted link, or thread, to read.

One of the problems, however, may be legal. It may be illegal for DU to permit certain kinds of posts... like racial hate posts, etc.

31. I think it's a great idea.

It could be a forum that no one can reply to so that fights and arguments won't be continued there. It could be used as a tool for the Admins and Mods to show us exactly the sort of behavior they find unacceptable. They could post an explanation as to why a certian post was deleted. And of course they could use discrestion and not put posts there that could get DU or anyone on DU in trouble.

I like the idea that you'd have to be a donor to view the forum. I also think you should have a certian number of posts, a high number. This would help ensure that trolls won't be able to see the forum. How many of them actually donate money to DU and have over 1000 posts? Some do, I know, but not many.

Someone would have to propose this to Skinner. Perhaps bvar22? ;)

all I can think about is what was it they said that was so foul and disruptive that it had to deleted? What was it?
