I have decided I want a fresh, homemade peach pie for my birthday instead.

I have never not had a birthday cake, so this feels ever so slightly rebellious in a tame, middle-aged lady sort of way. ;)

My children really like chocolate, though, so I thought I'd make a small pan of brownies for them and let them blow out some birthday candles in the brownies.
