Pictures of Savannah...(new kitty in the house)
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 10:42 AM by peacebuzzard
1st day in her new home. Savannah was an abandoned kitty my neighbor lady was "getting rid of"---she lived under her house for a year

(the dog, is a little sad with the new baby, but he'll get over it.)

3. great decision. I wonder if she has a microchip.
I took 3 cats in who were living in backyards and they were/are the best cats ever. Savannah looks like my 17 year old male named Boom

10. Not yet. Savannah has a history of two homes rejecting her already.
She has just found her forever home. All my critters will be microchipped next month. This month were the annuals and Savannah's bath and 1st vet call. Yesterday was a full day!

4. beautiful kitten and beautiful dog!
Make sure doggy gets a lot of attention so he doesn't start really hating the kitty.

9. He does! but he is used to alot of commotion....
I also have 3 other dogs. But he is the main inside dog. Really, not a sense of harm for any four legged creature, just wants to play....I am making him "take it easy, " on the kitty today though.

6. How are they handling each other?
My fiance and I are combining our households this week and that includes my dog and his cat. They've only been around each other once, but that was a disaster.

His cat is 9 and my dog (mini dachshund) is 8½. Any hope for them to ever get along?

11. I also have one beagle mix here who is not that happy w/ Savannah.
But he is mainly my den/kitchen and outside pooch. He is not as well behaved as the red you see in the picture and my Bassett, who loves everything smaller than her. The Beagle for now is being kept apart, since Savannah will now be an inside/ primarily the office cat. Everyone is calm right now. I am glad I have a few days at home to watch the reactions, before I have to leave for work on Saturday.

21. Thanks. Today was a worker.
"Advantage" for everyone, and the two last dogs to bathe. Yesterday was vet day, I made 2 runs to the vet's( 15 miles away) for the 4 dogs and new kitty. I took the opportunity to give all pets their annuals and three were bathed yesterday. Pheww!!! We can all settle in now.

Is she going to be an outdoor cat, or an indoor/outdoor cat?

24. Indoor (office) kitty.
But she is very clinging. I take her out on the deck, but whenever I call her, she runs back to me.
